Obituary for Verline Lansing
Verline “Butch” Ray Lansing, 79, of Leavenworth, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at home. He was born July 18, 1940, in Roffe, Iowa, the son of Robert and Carmen (Sindegard) Lansing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, June Kelly Lansing; his son, Tony (Lesa) Lansing; a grandson, Tyler Lansing; and six siblings, David Lansing, Rodney Lansing, Jackie Klug, Linda Stotts, Michael Lansing and Tony Lansing.
Butch owned and operated Lansing Construction Inc., for over 45 years, building several homes in the Leavenworth County area.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Butch enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son and grandson, who were his pride and joy.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Leavenworth County Humane Society.
