Steven A. Brantley, 63, of Leavenworth, passed away, Thursday, June 30, 2022. He was born September 26, 1958, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Guy and Omega (Taylor) Brantley Jr.
He attended schools in the Kansas City, Missouri school districts.
Steven accepted Christ at an early age.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1981 to 1984. Steven also worked for the Leavenworth VA Hospital as a nursing assistant for many years.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald R. Brantley; and a nephew, Rodney L. Mabery.
He is survived by three sisters, Sonya Anderson, Theresa Mabery and Sherida (Rick) Brantley-Anderson; three brothers, Darryl Brantley, Craig (Sheila) Brantley and Adrian (Rachel) Brantley; four aunts, Clara Jackson, Leslie Moore, Esther Turner and Louise Grant; an uncle, Richard Brantley; and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with Chaplain Floyd Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
