Obituary for Shailee Viramontes

Shailee Ymosionae Viramontes, 23, of Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was born July 18, 1998, in Benton, Wash., the daughter of Ronisha Jones and Joaquin Viramontes.

Shailee was an amazing young woman that bloomed into a loving, strong and passionate young mother, who had so many dreams and ambitions to make a great life for her and her son Malakai. Kai was her world and her heart. She let it be known that he was the best thing that ever happened to her because he saved her from walking down the wrong path in life. Shailee was the best mother and provider for Kai that anyone could have ever hoped for. She always found a way to overcome the challenges that a single mother faces these days with her analytical thinking and deductive reasoning, gifts that were truly a blessing.

She is survived by her 3-year-old son, Malakai Mateo-King Viramontes and his father, Brandon T. Zimmerman; her mother and father; her stepfather, Brian Delk; three grandmothers, Donna Casanova, Christine Jones and Kim Zimmerman; two grandfathers, Ron Scott and Marcello Casanova; and two great aunts, Tina Jones and Roberta Lara.

Shailee had an inner driving force that made her work hard and always strive for the best. Every person she came in to contact with felt her warmth, compassion, understanding and “I Care” outlook on life which drew them to trust and admire her.

Our love, thoughts and prayers for her eternal life and knowing that her spirit has truly ascended to her place with God is our comfort.

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
