Obituary for Sammie Dominguez
Sam T. Dominguez, 91, of Leavenworth, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at Harry S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital. He was born March 20, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Procopio and Francesca (Tomas) Dominguez.
He is survived by two sons, Nicholas and wife, Tammy Dominguez of Lansing, and Damian Dominguez of Leavenworth; four grandchildren, Cassie Callaway, Sarah Jane Gregor, Kristin Edwards and Lana Dominguez; seven great-grandchildren; and his companion, Darlene Rivera.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Petra Alvarado; and a brother, Robert Dominguez.
He enjoyed Jazz music and Big Band music. Sam also liked reading literature and poetry and watching movies.
Sam received numerous awards during his time selling insurance and real estate.
A private family graveside with military honors will be at a later date.
