Obituary for Rosalie Stull
Loving mother, Rosalie Ann (Townsend) Stull, 82, of Lansing, Kan., died peacefully at her home, Twin Oaks Assisted Living, on Oct. 2, 2020, in Lansing, Kan. She was born Jan. 5, 1938, in St. Joseph Mo., and is predeceased by her parents, James H. and Frances (Massing) Townsend of Lansing, Kan., and her daughter, Cecilia Rose Daniels of Lansing, Kan.
On June 4, 1960, Rosalie married George W. Stull. They were blessed with two children from their marriage. Rosalie was a teacher and school administrator during her professional career. She was a school teacher in the Lansing Unified School District for 23 years. She moved to Norton, Kan. to become the principal of Eisenhower Elementary School where she spent 13 years in the Norton School district until her retirement. Upon her retirement, she returned home to Lansing to be near her daughter and sister.
Survivors include her son, Richard H. Stull of Lincoln Neb.; daughter-in- law, Jane M. Stull of Shawnee, Kan.; grandson, Christopher M. (Jessie) Stull and great-grandson, Charles Benedict Stull of Papillion, Neb.; grandson, Chad M. (Sydnie) Stull and great-granddaughter, Tanzin E. Stull of Basehor, Kan.; a sister, Mary Kaye Pedziwater of Naperville Ill.; a nephew, James (Carleen) Pedziwater, a niece, Christine Smith; and four great nieces and nephews, Marek and Emily Pedziwater and Ethan Smith and Delaney Smith,
Rosalie enjoyed reading and spending time with her family whenever she could. She loved her children, her nieces and nephews, and her great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church and spent years playing the organ at mass Rosalie loved a good laugh and was always up to pull a prank, especially on her sister. She got her orneriness from her dad who taught her well how to pull a prank. She loved her parents and took care of them in their later years. When she was principal at Eisenhower Elementary, she would ride on her roller skates around to rooms to give kids their birthday wishes. Her love of music and the years she spent teaching band at Lansing were times of much fun and pleasure for her. Her students loved her and she loved them in return. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Francis de Sales Church where masks will be required. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Francis de Sales Church.
