Obituary for Rob Lemke
Rob Joseph Lemke, 58, of Leavenworth, a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, passed away Nov. 7, 2021, at home. He was born May 7, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Lawrence “Larry” and Charlene (Lansing) Lemke.
He worked for Johnson County Developmental Disability Services for many years until a stroke caused him to retire early.
Rob became part of the antique and collectibles world going to auctions and selling his finds at local shops.
He loved his faithful dog Barney very much. Rob made many friends while taking Barney to the local dog park and for walks around town.
Rob is survived by his parents; a brother, Ron (Lisa) Lemke; a sister, Michelle (David) Budke; a niece, Jessica Budke; and a nephew, Jake Budke
He loved his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Visitation beginning with the praying of the rosary will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov.12, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Glenn Snow, O.Carm., as celebrant. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Memorial’s contributions are suggested to the “ASPCA” American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
