Obituary for Rita Brown
Rita Margaret Brown, of Leavenworth, Kansas, died at the age of 63 on December 5, 2020, at her home in Leavenworth. She was born on November 19, 1957 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Anna Marie Brown, her brother Jerry Brown, and brothers-in-law Charles Lowe and Tom Jones. She was a graduate of Pleasant Ridge High School.
She worked for many years with GEICO insurance as an insurance sales representative and then in the cafeteria at Lansing High School.
She is survived by sisters, Joyce Lowe, Linda Brooks (Donald), Nancy Mazzia (Ron), Jean Jones (Randy) and Judy Jones and sister-in-law Pamela Brown (Jerry) in addition to nieces and nephews Ann Kruse, Joe Lowe, Mike Lowe, Billy Lowe, George Lowe, Andy Brooks, Mike Brooks, Leslee Parsons, Tom Brooks, Becky Jones, Randi Collins, Justin Jones, Matthew Jones, and Stewart Jones, and 12 great nephews and nieces, and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all who have ever known her as a truly special person.
Visitation beginning with praying of the rosary will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at St. Francis de Sales Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Church. A private family burial will follow.
