Obituary for Patricia Robinson

Patricia “Patty” Robinson, 80, of Lansing, Kan., passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022, after declining health the past few months. Patty and her beloved twin sister, Sally, were born on December 6, 1941, the day before the Pearl Harbor attack, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Norman and Velva (Allen) King.

She graduated from Lansing High School, the class of 1960.

Patty married Frank Wills Robinson, Jr. on August 6, 1960. They were married for 26 years until his death in 1986. Patty and Frank had two sons, Gary D. Robinson (deceased) and Gregory C. Robinson.

She adored and loved her grandchildren, Brian Wills Robinson (Santa Rosa, Calif.); Hilary Kaye Robinson (Big Fork, Mont.); Dylan Frank Robinson (Lansing, Kan.). She has 3 great-grandchildren - Baker and Harlie (Lansing,Kan.) and Sanoe (Santa Rosa, Calif.). Other survivors include her sister Mary (George) Lingenfelter and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Velva King; her husband, Frank Robinson Jr.; a son, Gary D. Robinson; and sisters, Norma (Fred) Anderson, Sally (Glenn) Linaweaver and Ruth (Jack) Lowenstein.

Patty enjoyed her family, reminiscing, watching the “Chiefs” and “Jayhawks” and her favorite show, “Wheel of Fortune.”

Respecting her wishes, she chose cremation and asked that her family and friends gather at a Celebration of Life at her sons’ local establishment, The Groggery, on Sunday, May 15, 2022 starting at 1:00 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
