Obituary for Nancy Welch
Nancy Elizabeth Welch, 67, of Leavenworth, died Monday, May 3, 2021, at Providence Hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of John B. and Grace E. (Mays) Wood.
On June 20, 1975, Nancy married Frank Welch Jr. He survives at the home. She is also survived by four daughter, Michelle (Joe) Percival of Leesville, La., Valarie Welch, Betty (Jennifer) Welch and Lila (Aaron King) Welch all of Leavenworth; a son, Frank (Brandi) Welch III of Leavenworth; two sisters, Sharon Talley and Marilyn Hermesch; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Susan Wood and Donna Matthews.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and watching birds. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were her world.
A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
