Obituary for Michael Simien
Michael Irving Simien, 68, formerly of Leavenworth, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020, at St. Luke’s East Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1951, in Leavenworth, Kan., the son of Irving and Ruth (Wilson) Simien.
He is survived by two daughters, Alexandra Simien of Sacramento, Calif., and Michelle Simien of Oakland, Calif.; a brother, Wayne Simien Sr., of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Gail Florence of Wichita, Kan., and Denise Goodwin of Leavenworth, Kan.; a niece, Dione Miller; two nephews, Byron Page and Wayne Simien Jr.; and a daughter, Erika Lewis.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
He enjoyed reading and going fishing.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
