Obituary for Michael Brooks
Michael Dean Brooks, 57, of Leavenworth, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at the healthcare resort of Kansas city.
“Mike” was born Feb 13, 1964, in Leavenworth, the son of, MaryLynn and Patrick McQuirk, and Donald and Linda Brooks.
Michael was a man of few words, but many friends. He loved golfing, playing cards, and working on cars. But most of all he loved the ones who knew him as “Dad”.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents.
He is survived by his three children, Caitlyn Brooks, Amber Brooks, and Carl Brooks; two grandchildren, Laila Davis and Ariya Dougherty; three siblings Leslee (Terry) Parsons, Andy (Dawn) Brooks, Tommy (Brenda) Brooks; numerous family and friends.
Service will be held at the Leavenworth VA cemetery with burial of military honors on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. Immediately following will be a small "Celebration of life" downstairs at Leintz funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in his name to Leintz funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
