Obituary for Mazilla Smith
Mazilla B. Smith, 87, of Leavenworth, passed away, Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at St. John Hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Platte County, Mo., the daughter of Claren Bullock and Nance L. Asher.
On July 17, 1951, Mazilla married Donald E. Smith. He preceded her in death after 67 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister.
Mazilla worked for the Department of the Army and Retired after 29 years of service.
She is survived by her son, Michael Smith of Leavenworth; a granddaughter, Heather (Christopher); and two great grandsons, Christopher Jr. and Aiden. She is also survived by her nieces and one nephew.
Mazilla loved traveling. She and Donald also enjoyed spending time between their home in Leavenworth and their home at Lake of the Ozarks.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
