Obituary for Mary Kay Menard
Mary Kay Menard, 76 of Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at Providence Medical Center. She was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of Vincent E and Mary Bernadine (Casey) Bading.
On June 10, 1972, she married Edward J. Menard in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He survives at the home. She is also survived by her siblings, Vincent E. (Kathie S.) Bading of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Judy A (Duane D.) Zieser of Center Point, Iowa and Patti J. (Kevin) Nolan of Dallas, Texas; her friends, Karen Sevcik of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joan Cooper and Kathleen Buker, both of Leavenworth, Kan.
Mary enjoyed making jewelry. She also enjoyed genealogical research at home and extensive travel. She specialized in the preservation and enhancement of historical photography.
She was a Member of the Saturday Club of Leavenworth.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A private family service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Leavenworth County Council On Aging Meals on Wheels Program at 1830 South Broadway Ave., Leavenworth, KS, 66048.
