Logan Jackson, 14, of Leavenworth, passed away at home, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020. He was born June 13, 2006.
He is survived by his mother, Tara Jackson; three sisters, Nora, Aven and Evelyn; grandparents, Ronda and Donnie Jackson of Leavenworth, Susan and Robert Simanowitz of Leavenworth, and Robert Windham of Junction City; as well as many extended family members on both sides of his family.
Logan was accompanied in death by his friend, partner in great adventures, teammate and brother, Austin Jackson.
Logan attended Lansing Middle School as an 8th grader. Soccer and video games were two of his favorite activities, however singing in school programs was not! He was very intelligent and opinionated and would have been a star on the high school debate team. He loved taking care of his sisters, especially when they were babies. He had a soft heart for those he loved and while he didn’t smile very often, when he did, it lit up the room.
Visitation beginning with praying the rosary will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, at St. Francis de Sales Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be private, for family only. The funeral mass will be live streamed on St. Francis de Sales website at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, for public viewing. Masks are required. Arrangements in care of R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Chapter Fund, Frontier Community Credit Union, Leavenworth, Kan.
