Obituary for Laretta Schumann
Laretta Hughann Schmann, 89 of Leavenworth, passed away, Monday, Nov. 28, 2022. She was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Mountain Grove, Mo., the daughter of Hugh and Eunisie (Estell) Melton. She was the last child to pass away out of five children.
She loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Laretta is survived by her daughter and her husband, Kelly and Eric Vetter; three grandchildren, Caleb, Courtney and Cory and their spouses; and four great-grandchildren. All of whom were a treasure to her and she loved dearly. She will be sadly missed.
Her family will welcome visitors at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at the Church of the Open Door, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.
