Obituary for Kristin Rodriguez
Kristin Alicia Rodriguez, 44, of Lansing, passed away Monday, Sept 7th, 2020 at the University of Kansas Hospital. She was born Dec. 29, 1975, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Elias J. (JR) and Ana Maria (Nunez) Rodriguez.
She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1994. She was also a graduate from Park University with a BA degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
Kristin is survived by her parents; three sons, Eddie Rodriguez, Alex Cervantes and Christian Cervantes; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Christina Rodriguez; an aunt, Chata Brawner; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elias and Juanita Rodriguez Sr ; maternal grandmother M. Guadalupe ( Lupe ) Nunez; and an Uncle, Tommy Rodriguez who recently passed away in May.
Kristin worked as a Medical Reimbursement Technician at the VA Medical Center.
She was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Sporting KC and the Kansas Jayhawks. Kristin loved watching her kids play soccer and baseball. She also enjoyed attending concerts and going shopping.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, with the Rosary prayed at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Immaculate Conception Church where masks will be required and capacity is limited. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association
