Obituary for John Snodell

John Martin Snodell Sr., 92, of Mission, KS passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Kansas City, MO.
He was born the son of Martin and Mary (Janssens) Snodell on July 11, 1929 in Independence, MO.
John attended Rockhurst University and was in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was in sales most of his life and had been co-owner of the Allied Meat Company supplying food to the local Dairy Queen. He was a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church in Prairie Village, and a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the Elks Lodge #26.
John is survived by his wife Roberta, children Mary Snodell of Mission, Teresa Rudder (Tim) of Chandler, AZ, Robert Snodell (Debbie) of Kansas City, MO, Michelle Garza (Mike) of Prairie Village, and Jeannette Mulligan (Bill) of Chandler, AZ, 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, son Johnny Snodell Jr in 2004, and two brothers.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 27, 2021, beginning at 1pm with a Rosary at 1:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00pm, all held at the St. Ann Catholic Church (7231 Mission Rd). A private family burial with military honors will follow at the Mt Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care (1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy, STE 200 KCMO 64114).
