Obituary for Jequetia Poer
Jequetia “Jackie” Marie Poer, 73, of Lansing, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. She was born April 11, 1948, in St. Joseph, Mo.
On April 19, 1970, Jequetia married David Poer in Oskaloosa, Kan. He preceded her in death July 15, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Jequetia is survived by a son, Michael Poer of Leavenworth; a sister, Yvonne Scott; two brothers, Ed and Jerry Sproul; and many nieces and nephews.
She worked in the housekeeping department at St. Mary’s College for many years before retiring in 2009.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Mt. Muncie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
