Jack Dale Young, 65, of Leavenworth, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at KU Medical Center. He was born Oct. 26, 1954, in Excelsior Springs, Mo. the son of Red and Eva Mae (Chumia) Young.

October 9, 1989, Jack married the love of his life, Glenda Susan Bergman, at First Baptist Church in Leavenworth, Kan. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Duke Ford, Steve Young, Christa Young and Linda Kay.

He is survived by two daughters, Kali (Chad) Seber of Lansing, Kan., and Tiffani (Thomas) Young of Tonganoxie; six siblings, Marty Young, Vickie Ford, Nick Ford, David Young, Ronnie Ford, all of Richmond, Mo., and Mike Dutro of Lawrence, Kan.; six grandchildren, Callie, Destinie and Richard Seber and Braxton, Tucker and Kora Wyrick

Jack worked for Hallmark Cards in Candles, Leavenworth Amco, Dashers Garage and Walmart until he became sick in 2013. He received a liver transplant September 25, 2016.

He enjoyed being with his family, working on hotrods, going for cruises around town and eating ice cream.
