Geraldine “Geri” Hammeke, 85, of Leavenworth, left this world, Sunday June 21, 2020, to be with her beloved grandparents, Phillip and Elizabeth Krug who immigrated to Kansas many years ago from Prussia; her mother, Esther Schuetz; and her former husband and best friend for the past 67 years, Dr. John Hammeke.

Geri is leaving behind her children, Mondeen Hammeke Snyder, Mark Hammeke and Gregory Hammeke; five grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Justin, Cassie and Damon; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Dee Christiansen; and four “granddogs”

Private services for the family with cremation to follow are entrusted to R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
