Obituary for Elizabeth Nicks
Elizabeth Jean Nicks, 80, of Leavenworth, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at Twin Oaks Independent Living. She was born April 26, 1941, in El Paso, Texas, to Herschel and Mary (Duncan) Williams.
She is survived by her loving husband, Merle Nicks; two sons, Glenn Nicks of San Bernadino, Calif., and Paul Nicks of Leavenworth; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Elizabeth was the minister of Pilgrim Community Church for many years. She enjoyed painting in her free time.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
