Obituary for David Hund
David Wendell Hund, 66, of Leavenworth, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at home. He was born May 17, 1956, in Leavenworth, the son of Henry and Louise (Billings) Hund.
On Oct. 18, 1984, David married Jane Ellen Schwartz in Leavenworth, Kan. She survives at the home. He is also survived by a daughter, Laura (Brandon) Hurd of Bonner Springs, Kan.; a son, Adam Hund of Leavenworth; two grandchildren, Loralei and Caleb Hurd; four brothers, Henry (Shirley) Hund Jr., Paul (Doris) Hund, Dennis (Pam) Hund and Mark Hund; five sisters, Angie (Gary) Mattingly; Kathy (Dan) Peters, Mary (Ted) Savage, Donna (Gerald) Wedel and Denise (Ron) Lunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Hund; and a brother, Steven Hund.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Hospice or St. Luke’s Liver Transplant Specialists.
