Obituary for Cyril Forge
Cyril Thomas Forge, 93, of Leavenworth, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022. He was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Leavenworth, to Thomas and Agnes (Doman) Forge.
On April 16, 1955, Cyril married Theresa Burick, at the Old Cathedral Church of the Immaculate Conception in Leavenworth. She preceded him in death in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, Cyril T. Forge II.
Cyril is survived by a son, Keith A. Forge of Leavenworth; three daughters, Joan M. Hollister (Bruce) of Leavenworth, Janet M. Forge (Michael) of Fairway, Kan., and Julie A. Burkhart (Philip) of Shawnee, Kan.; two brothers, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was incredibly strong in his Catholic Faith. Cyril enjoyed gardening and farming. He was a devoted father to his children and loved his family dearly.
The family would like to thank St. Anthony’s Senior Living and Catholic Community Hospice for their wonderful care.
Visitation beginning with the praying of the rosary will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, at the church. The family asks that everyone in attendance wear a mask. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Catholic Community Hospice.
