Obituary for Catherine Knowles
Catherine Marie Knowles, 65, of Leavenworth, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Providence Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1956, in Liberty, Mo., the daughter of William T. and Dorothy J. (Woodward) Parrish.
On Dec. 3, 1974, Catherine married David Eugene Knowles. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Russell Parish.
Catherine is survived by a son, Jason Todd (Heather) Knowles of Leavenworth; a daughter, Stacy (Jim) Hinson of Olathe, Kan.; a brother, William T. (Becky) Parrish; a sister, Linda Huff of St. Joseph, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Kim Quinley of Leavenworth; six grandchildren; two great grandsons and two on the way; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and her Bunko ladies.
She enjoyed gardening, reading books, crocheting, camping and baking.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
