Obituary for Barbara Honey
Barbara Ann Honey, 72, of Leavenworth, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. She was born July 26, 1948 in Leavenworth, Kan., one of six children to Everett and Mary (Snyder) Kincaid.
On March 8, 1970, Barbara married the love of her life for 50 years, Daniel Honey, in Weston, Mo.
Barbara was employed by and retired from Southwestern Bell where she was an operator and dispatcher. Barbara had a large heart and was a giving person to those in need. She was a caring and devoted wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; two sons Bill (Kathleen) and Jeff (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Loren, Miriam (Chase) Cain, Karra, Sadie and Kira.; and her only living sibling, Preston (Hoppie) Kincaid.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Max, Bobby and James; and her sister, Sharon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Leavenworth National Cemetery where attendance is limited and masks will be required.
