Obituary for Andrew Kincade

Ret. U.S. Army 1SG Andrew S. Kincade, 46, of Leavenworth, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. He was born October 9, 1975, in Watseka Ill., the son of Larry Kincade and Marsha Stanfield.

He grew up in the Palestine, Ill., area and attended Palestine High School before serving his country in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer and later as a Military Police Officer for 23 years. After retirement, Andrew worked for Federal Security Services for the past 7 years.

Much of his free time was spent outside talking with friends, or at the range with his family. He made sure that everyone knew the rules of the range and how to shoot correctly. He took pride in knowing that he educated so many people on gun safety. Andy left his mark on the lives of his family, his many friends, and those within his community. He was the very definition of “a man that knew no stranger”, and we who had the good fortune of knowing him, could never forget the strength and good humor which defined his 46 years with us. Though he is gone, he could never be forgotten.

On November 9, 1996, Andrew married Beth Murray and she survives at the home. He is also survived by his son, David Kincade; and daughter Paige Kincade; a sister, Shannon Payne; a brother, Ryan Stanfield; his in-laws, Duane and Karan Murray; two sisters-in-law, Alison and husband, Scott Montgomery and Brooke Murray; and brother-in-law, Wesley and wife, Ricci Murray; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Kincade and Marsha and Ralph Stanfield.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1:30 Friday, at the funeral home. A committal service with military honors will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Kincade family for his children.
